Back at the pool

Yesterday Ben and I took the kids to the pool here in our community. It was a very warm day and the temp of the pool was perfect.
Here are all 5 kids enjoying the water

Maddy ready to go swimming for the first time ever. I love this swim suit. I found it at Dillard's last year, on the clearance rack of cource, right after I found out she was a girl. Got it for cheap, cheap, cheap. Gotta love it

Cole was so excited to go swimming.

Here is Kaycee showing me her cannon ball. :) To bad the water is only 2 feet deep and she jumped in straight leg.

Maddy's great escape. She sure trys hard when she wants t get out of that seat. :)

Yes even I got in the pool with the kids.

Matthew debating if he wanted to go down the slide or not. He went down 3 times but didn't like it at all. I'm not sure why he keep going down the darn thing.

James on the other hand LOVED the new slide. This is the first summer in like 3 years we have has a slide at the pool. The last one broke and we have waited a looooong time to get this one put in.

Maddy chillen on her water seat. She LOVED the water.

Kaycee and James holding on to the side of the pool.

Ben got in the pool as well. He took Maddy for a little "boat" ride while I stayed with Cole

All in all it was a fun first day back at the pool.

Pillow cases

Just for fun I decided to make the kids some pillow cases. I figured "how hard could it be." Actually not hard at all. Any ways a week ago or so I took Matthew, Kaycee and Cole to the fabric store with me to get fabric for another project I am doing. I will post pictures of all that later. Any way while we were there Matthew asked he could pick out some material for him for me to make a pillow case for him. I said sure and then let the other kids pick out what they wanted as well. They all picked out the material for James. He was here at home with Ben.

This pillow case is Matthews. At first he wanted the pillow case to be soccer. Then he saw the money material. Is this a look into the future? I hope so. :)

The kids obviously picked out a baseball theme for James' pillow case. Go figure. :)

Cole was choosing between two different patterns. Both were about dogs. He ended up picking this one. I like this material better then the other. The other was cute but it was only little paw prints.

Kaycee picked this very cute pattern. Its all sparkly and everything.

While there picking out the material I didn't think of the coast. A yard of this cotton fabric really isn't that expensive. But when you start adding it up it is kinda pricey. Not to bad though. But the best of all was the smile and giddiness of the kids after the pillow cases were made. It was worth every penny. :)

Sports weekend and World Series Champs

This past weekend was a fun filled busy Saturday. We had Matthews last soccer game, team party, James' world series game and team party. Along with the usual house cleaning and laundry. Busy, busy busy! Here is Matthew out playing soccer.

Matthew with his trophy. It is a great trophy. The team mom took the kids picture a few weeks ago to put in the trophy.

After the game we went to Incredible Pizza for a team party. It was a lot fun,

James at home plate. Right after this picture the rain started coming down. Once James got on 1st base it was a down poor and we had a 20 min rain delay.

James playing 1st base. He played 1st base and outfield this session

After the rain delay the temp went down a lot. The kids were cold so O went to the van to get the blankets. I love how Matthew and Cole are bundled up together. :)

Couch George talking to the kids after the game. Telling them they played a good game and to also cheer for the other team

James' team by the score board. Yankees 8 Cardinals 3

James with his trophy. We still have one more trophy coming. This trophy is for the world series and the next trophy he will get at closing ceremonies for division champs

The trophy. Way to go James

Field day

Field day was this past Friday. The kids had a lot of fun I think. This is a picture of the banner Jamie and I made for Mrs. Baker5s class. (James class) They were the Bakers beach balls.

James class outside waiting for the fun to begin

Matthews class wad the Milners Munchkins

And Kaycees class was the Thompsons Tadpoles

This is Matthew playing the sponge game. Thank heavens for the water games that day. The temp was up in the 90's that day

Here is Cole with a few of his buddies Cooper and Zane. Cooper is on James' baseball team and I watch Zane after school sometimes. They are both 4th graders

James and Zach won the lunch with the nurses. It was a raffle at Explorer fest a few months back. They had pizza soda and cookies. Those that won it with him were, Zach (of course) Jacob and David. David ended up not being able to come so Zach choose another boy named James to be there

Here is James with his friends getting ready to play a water game

Make overs

Sarah and I won the make overs for Enrichment night. We got a cut, color, style, and clothing. I love how they turned out. It was a very fun Enrichment night. When I get the pictures of the actually night I will post them.
Picture #1 Me before the cut.

Me after the cute. So cute!

The back of my hair

Sarah before the cut and style

Sarah After the cut, style and color. The color didn't really work the way Wendy wanted it to. I think it still turned out super cute. She cut off 11 inches and donated it to "Locks of Love" Go Sarah

Side view of Sarah's new due

Wendy also did a virtual make over on the Bishop. I think he looks very handsome as a red head. :)

This is what I wore. Here is the front view. A lady in our ward who was once a model came over and dressed me. I had the skirt and she bought me the shirt. I think It worked out perfectly.

Back view of the outfit.

Like I said I will post more pictures of the make overs later on. I am waiting for Sarah's sister in law to post them so I can picture steal them. :) The next post will have the out fit Sarah wore that night. She looked great.
