Steel days part 2

Here is the rest of the our steel days activities. For the day activity we went up American Fork Canyon to Cascade Springs. The view's are unbelievable.


All of my parents grand kids minus one. Cameron must have either been eating or getting her diaper changed. ;) Braydon, Matthew, Kaycee, Maddy, Sidney, Brent, Alex, Cole, James and Hunter.

My brother Eric and Maddy. Maddy really liked Eric at first. He was sharing his drink with her and she loved it. Then Eric decided to poor some of the water in Maddy's head to cool her off. The only problem is the water came out A LOT faster then Eric expected and Maddy wasn't to happy about that.

After we hiked Cascade Springs we went over to Aspen Grove for dinner and evening fun. Here Brent found the fire pit and decided to play in the ashes on. ;)(no worries there was not a fire in the fire pit)

Then the kids found the amphitheater. They decided to make a band. The bands name is "The Paper Airplanes" They were great.


At times Cole and Kaycee were the audience. And at other times they were part of the band

Steel days parade

One of the reasons I LOVE coming to Utah in July is because of our city celebration. It has been a tradition of my family to go to the American Fork High School band breakfast before the parade. Then the parade (sitting in the same place EVERY year) and then doing something as a family during the day. That will be in the next post. We use to go to the carnival but the tickets have gotten so expensive.

Here a karate school came past and asked those that wanted to brake a board. Matthew, my sister Erin, James and My nephew Braydon took on the challenge.

Thanksgiving Pointe

One of the things we do every year while in Utah is got to Thanksgiving Pointe. Its a lot of fun there and the kids love it. there are shops, a dinosaur museum, and a farm. This day we went to the farm.

Family reunion

I love how my mom plans the Slater family reunion while I am in town. I love being with my cousins and extended family. When I was younger this whole side of the family got together every Christmas afternoon for with my Great Grnadma and Grandpa Stater for lunch and presents. It was always one of the best parts of the day. Any way now for the past few years my mom has put together a family reunion with the Slater side and I LOVE it!!! Here are a few pictures of the day.
Here is most of the family. The older man and women are my moms Aunt Lorina and Uncle R.J. Uncle R.J. is my Great Grandpa and Grandma Slaters son. My Grandma Pulleys brother. My Grandma Pulley is my moms mom.

I dont know why my moms computer does this to some of the pictures. Ive tried to fix it and it wont. :( Any way this is Maddy and her cousin Cory. Cory is my cousin Ambers son.

WHAT!!!

Ok so my mom has this bad habit of putting make-up on Cole when she sees him. WHAT THE HECK. If you remember this last April when she was down after my surgery she did the same thing. Cole loves it and thinks its so funny that grandma would do this to him. I don't know how funny it really is. :) Any way I will let the pictures speak for them self's.

Day at the park

Last Tuesday July 14th I meet up with some good friends Ben and I had while we live din Provo. After they left my sisters child and my kids wanted to play at the park a little longer. SO we stayed and played for about an hour longer.
