New Years Eve and Brazos Bend State Park

Ben's Sister and her family came down for New Years Eve this year. So for the day activity we decided to go to Brazo's Bend State Park. It was a kinda foggy day here but as we drove further and further from the city it got a lot more foggy. Here is a picture out the front window of my van. We could;t see to far ahead of us. New Years Eve night.

The kids ether watched a movie or were playing the Wii all night. The adults on the other hand had their noses in a book (all but me, as most of you know, I'm not a good reader. :) and played a few games.

The first Sunday Ruthie was here, the Sunday before Christmas, we all showed up to church in Red, White and Black. Even the kids. This was not planned. So of course we had to take pictures. :)

Build a Bear

For Christmas this year my parents gave the kids a $20 gift card to Build a Bear. So as a family the Monday after Christmas we went out to lunch and then to Build a bear.

James saw this Camo bear and had to have it. :) Here's Cole stuffing his Bear

Cole got a "Frosty the Snow man" bear. He loves it. When you lift the hat and put it back on Frostys head Frosty comes to life. There is a little jingle and his hat and cheeks light up. The only problem is he is very sensitive. I have had to go in to the boy's room late at night and remove Frosty form the bed because the slightest movement of the bed makes him come alive. :)
