Out of the mouths of babes!

Today was a busy day. The lawn needed to be mowed in the worst way. Ben was at work so I decided to go mow it. Well as I was finishing up my neighbor was on a bike ride with his kids and stopped by to say hi. They asked why I was mowing the lawn and I said because Ben was at work and that I liked to mow the lawn. I really do. Its great exercise and pushing the lawn mower really isn't mush heavier then pushing the double stroller. Any way David tells his son that this is the kind of women he needs to find and marry. So I say "what, someone that will do your work as well as hers?" Now mind you Luke is 6. Luke looks at me dead serious and says "so what does Ben do around here any way." Dave and I just looked at each other and laughed. Hahahaha!

Baseball Saturday

Saturday Sept 12th was Matthews very first baseball game. James also had a baseball game that day at the same time. They were both at the same ball park but at different fields. James plays for the River cats and Matthew plays on the Sidewinders. Baseball session is back in full swing. No pun intended. :)

9-11 remembered

On September 11th 2009 the elementary school here that the kids attend honored ALL the hero's of our every day life's. In attendance that day for the assembly were, fire fighters, police men EMS and a red cross rep. It was put together well and I think the kids really learned from it.

There was a question and answer part of the program. Here is a fireman answering a question. Look at his bold head. All but 1 fireman there that day were bold. I know my brother shaves his head. He says the helmets pull his hair. :)

Matthew's baptism

Matthew was baptised and confirmed a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday Sept 5th 2009. It was such a special day. Here are some of the high lights.

Poor baby Maddy

Poor baby Maddy got stuck on the stairs tonight. She has crawled up them a lot with no problem but has never stood up on them. Well tonight she did and she didn't know how to get down. I went to go see why she was crying and this is what I found. So sad. :)

Matthews b-day

Matthew turned 8 on Aug 30th. Wow I cant believe he is 8. For his friends party on Aug 29th we had a movie day. Matthew wanted to watch "Madagascar 2" eat pizza, chips, cookies, candy and popcorn. Yummy. It was nice to send everyone home after they sugar hi. :)

Matthews family cake. He wanted a do-nut cake and said that the pink frosted kind at Shipleys was the best. So that's what I made. I cooked the cake in a bunt pan and then frosted it pink. Silly boy! O ya the best part was after I made the cake he told me he wanted to be a do-nut eater. Aka a cop. Hahaha
