Easter Day

This is Easter day. Our tradition is to have the Easter Bunny hide the kids Easter baskets and let the kids find them. This year there was a lot t6he Easter Bunny had to hide because Grandma and Grandpa Woffinden sent stuff the Bunny to hide as well. Its funny that the Easter Bunny is cleaver enough to find new places each year. It was fun.
Here is Kaycee on the hunt. Kaycee and Matthew looking in the closet.
James hunting.
Can you see the basket? This is Matthews basket. Look closely at the top by the hangers. You can see the green of his basket.

For dinner I cooked up a ham, twice baked potatoes rolls and deviled eggs. Here is Maddy trying the eggs.
She didn't like them :)
My super cute Easter decorations for my dinner table. I found the cute tree with eggs on it at Kholes and my sister in Law Amber made the table runner.

Miss Goodmans 24th birthday

Miss Goodman is Matthew 2nd grade teacher. This is her first year teaching and she turned 24. For explorer fest the class made this bowl to action off. Miss Goodman really liked it and wanted it. So a few moms and my self went in ad won the auction for her. We gave the bowl to her for her birthday form her class. She did not know we were doing this. :)

In side of the bowl Out side of the bowl. Covered in her kiddos finger prints.
Miss Goodman was so excited. It was the best surprise ever.

We also surprised her with cup cakes. It was a great way to show a great teacher we loved her. :)

Keeping the kids busy

The other day I had to take James in to see the Dr about his allergies. Cole was getting a bit restless so I gave him my camera to keep himself busy. Here are a few shots he took.

2nd grade field trip to the Houston Zoo

For the last fiend trip in 2nd grade Matthew was able to go to the Houston zoo. We had a lot of fun. Here is Matthews class ready for a fun day. ;) The first thing we did was have class about some of the animals there at the zoo. We got to touch a hedge hog,

And a lizard
Crazy I know but the Houston zoo has dogs. Yes DOGS!

Camp out

For Spring break this year we went camping. At first I didn't want to go because Ben found a camp site and in 12 hours we were to leave for it. We had not tent, no charcoal, no camp stove and no food. All we did have was a dutch oven, (thanks Eric and Amber) a few flash light and a few camp chairs. And to add to it I was taking the kids to the rodeo and Keith Urban concert that night. Well Ben went out with Maddy while I was gone and got most of the necessary needs.
Here is Ben and the kids putting up the tent. Maddy and James trying to help out.
Maddy had more fun playing in the leaves then helping with the tent. :)
Here is the lake we camped by. We could have fished there but I'm glad we didn't.
We found a dead baby gator
And a dead fish. Very glad we did go fishing. NASTY!!!
Here is our water boy. :) Ben all hooked up with all the water bottles.
Ready for out little hike

Getting ready for the camp fire. We forgot the marshmallows for smores but a nice man two camp sites down came and gave us a bag of marshmallows. Funny story here. I had on my BYU sweat shirt that morning and I went to the water spicket to wash the breakfast dinner. As I was coming back to camp a man stopped me and said "Nice shirt. That's my school." I was like "ya right" We live in Texas not many people know what BYU is. Any way come to find out he and his kids were there camping and were from the other ward that meets at out church building. Small world. Any way Brother Richards saved the night and the smores were so good.
Matthew eating roaster star bursts. YUMMY!
Sticky hands. Cole after he tried to get a marshmallow off the stick. Hahaha

Maddy's crazy hear the morning we left. :)
