The 3 youngest

Last year and well the very first part of this year 3 new Crandalls entered the world. Ben's sister Brandallyn had Baby Liam the end of Aug 2008. I had Maddy the Middle of October 2008 and Ben's Brothers wife Tawna had Vivian the first part of January 2009. It was so fun to get to meet all the new cousins.

Oquirrh Mountain temple and Raging waters

On Monday July 6th we started the Crandall family reunion with Ben's side of the family. His little brother Seth is going on a mission for our church and the whole family came up to see him off. Monday we started the day off going through the Oquirrh Mountain Utah temple. It is beautiful!

My family. The sun was very bright that day. We were all squinting for the picture

The engraving you will see on all the LDS temples.
"Holiness to the lord
House of the the Lord"

The second half of the day we spent at Raging waters water park. It was a blast. Here is James and my niece Renee getting ready to race down a slide.

James at the bottom of a tube slide. It took until we almost were ready to go home for Matthew to go down a slide. But once he went he LOVED it!

After Raging waters we went to Ben's brothers house for a BBQ Here in my brother in law feeding Maddy ice cream. Uncle Monte is now Maddy's favorite I think. :)

4th of July

I love being in Utah the month of July! There are parades, family and fireworks.

Fire

We got into Utah on July 2nd. On July 3rd we were out in my parents back yard having a family dinner. my brother in law looked up and said, "look at that smoke." Well we decided to take a look. My brother that is a fire fighter said it looked like a house. How right he was.
This picture is from the corner of my parents street. About 3 blocks a way.
This picture was taken from the corner of the church parking lot about 2 blocks away. Look at the flames.

This is my brother directing traffic. Like I said he is a fireman but for another city. He wears his fire shirts all the time so he had his fire and rescue shirt on so people obeyed him while in the middle of the street. The sad think here in the owner of the house can down the street driving real fast and honking her horn trying to get people out of her way. When she got up to my brother and the officer there the officer had to calm her down before he would let her go up the street

Here you see the ladder of the ladder truck trying to put out the flames

Back of the house

Side of the house

This is the fire hydrant the trucks were hooked up to. Cole was really interested in this.

One of the fire trucks with the hoses out.

This is the front of the house looking into the living room.

This poor family has gone through a lot. From what I understand the mother has just gotten over cancer, she was in a car wreck not to long ago and hurt her back real bad and not this fire. For those of you who know the neighborhood, this is the house right behind Fredricksons and Smiths old house.
